The youth fellowship of a Shanghai church announced the annual theme of gatherings is to overcome life's challenges, following 12 biblical characters.

According to Shanghai Huxi Church, the church’s youth fellowship will hold its fourth Bible study of the year on January 26, on the theme of "How Do I Deal with Sress?" with Jesus as the role model.

The Huxi Church was built in 1919 and was originally located in Xinjing District. Ni Guizhen, the mother of Soong Ching Ling, also made a contribution to the preaching station that two Swedish women missionaries, Christensen and K. Anderson, initially founded. The church (current site) was built in 1940 and became the joint worship venue of Changning District in 1958. The church was reopened in December 1982, and its building was completed in December 1989, with its exterior walls decorated with brown bricks. Xinjing Church, currently serving as the affiliated branch of the Huxi Church, was established in Changning District in May 1998 and jointly funded by Shanghai Municipal and Changning District’s CC&TSPMs. Korean-language services are held there every week.
