Twenty-five volunteers have completed the second sign language training class organized by the TSPM of Qixia District in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
Qixia District’s TSPM in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, held a graduation ceremony for the second sign language training class on September 14, reported the host. In collaboration with the Amity Foundation and the Nanjing Association of the Deaf and Hard Hearing, Qixia District’s TSPM designed teaching courses and invited professional sign language instructors to enhance communication with the hearing-impaired community.
To ensure the trainees mastered sign language, teachers employed various teaching methods, covering basic vocabulary and grammar, as well as daily conversations and emotional expressions. The three-month session consisted of 22 lessons.
Mr. Sun Honglei, deputy director of the host, announced that the training will continue annually and a dedicated volunteer team will be established to serve the church and the society.
