Around the Mid-Autumn, churches in Guangdong and Jiangsu Province held charity events, practicing Jesus’ message of "love your neighbor as yourself."
On September 12, accompanied by the community’s staff and volunteers, the pastoral team from the Lilin Church visited 20 local families of lonely elderly and severely disabled with daily necessities and mooncakes as festival greetings, said the Huizhou Municipal TSPM.
Meanwhile, according to the host, Zhendao Church in Zhenjiang City held a love feast themed “Five Loaves and Two Fish" to send love to believers of needy families in such a reunion festival. In addition, church staff prepared Mid-Autumn Festival gifts for difficult families.
Aiming to foster a sense of spiritual home for the believers, Zhendao Church has held a fellowship and love feast every Mid-Autumn Festival, an annual tradition for years.
