On September 17, Xiangshui County CC&TSPM ( Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement ) of China's coastal-eastern Jiangsu Province held the sixth annual charity event in support of single-parent college students. They also raised funds for seminary students in the county, in China’s coastal-eastern Jiangsu Province.
In this autumn semester, they provided financial aid to 10 college students and 17 seminary students, about 30,000 yuan in total.
Sixteen students in seminary and two representatives of ordinary colleges and university students attended the event. Another eight college students who were given aid by other counties of the TSPM were absent due to having begun their semester.
Five theological students were admitted this year. Sister Zhu Panpan from Yigang Church was admitted to Jiangsu Theological Seminary and the other four were admitted to the pastoral college of Jiangsu Theological Seminary.
In the event entitled, "My Theological Ideas under Normalized Pandemic", the students shared what they saw, heard, and thought during the coronavirus pandemic.
Pastor Xu Fei from the county TSPM introduced the current development of the churches and put forward requirements to the seminary students. They are to be conscious of the overall situation, have a suffering heart and a spirit of service. He encouraged them to take responsibility and think diligently.
