On November 2, the "Themed Seminar on Wu Yao-tsung's Academic Research" convened in Guangzhou.
According to the organizer Guangzhou Municipal CC&TSPM, the event saw over 100 participants from political, academic, and religious sectors nationwide.
Nearly 30 experts and scholars examined the theological concepts of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement initiated and led by Mr. Wu, focusing on the Three-Self Patriotic Spirit, social practice, and theological construction. They sought to uncover the inspiration and significance of Three-Self Patriotic Thought in the context of the sinicization of Christianity.
Mr. Wu Yao-tsung was the founder of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Chinese Protestant Church. This seminar marked the first academic gathering since the establishment of the Wu Yao-tsung Research Center by the Guangzhou CC&TSPM in May of this year.
