Most churches in Dalian and Anshan, in China’s northeastern Liaoning Province, have resumed services.
With the central Yuguang Street Church in Dalian resuming Sunday services, all the main churches in Dalian, such as Fengshou Road Church, Xishan Gospel Church, Jinzhou Church, Quanshui Church, Beijing Street Church, Pulan Shop Church, PLA (People’s Liberation Army) Road Church and have resumed in-person gatherings.
The resumption of all the gatherings in Lvhua Street church where the Anshan Municipal CC&TSPM (Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement) offices are located indicates that all the churches in this city have restored normal activities. Xingsheng Church, Shahe Church, Yongle Church and others will resume their gatherings.
Some churches resumed all the gatherings which are held from Monday to Sunday, such as Bible study group, prayer meeting, morning service with prayers, 24-hour watch prayers and choir practices. On Sunday, Dalian churches have three in-person services and Anshan churches have two. Yongle Korean Church continues to have services in Korean. Meanwhile, all the churches have kept their online gatherings, together with the in-person service so they can provide pastoral services for their believers.
Judging from the current church gatherings, the believers are enthusiastic when they get together. Some believers who are in churches that have not resumed services are attending other churches, and the number of people attending gatherings is increasing. Some church services are at capacity.
Some pastors said that they were waiting for the resumption of gatherings in the county-level and rural churches in Dalian and Anshan.
