On July 5, 2020, Dalian Fengshou Lu Church resumed three onsite Sunday services after months' closure due to COVID-19.
Outside the main hall of the church, the co-workers in charge checked temperatures, ID cards, and health codes of the churchgoers. Then the believers’ information was filled in the registration form.
Believers attending the meeting actively cooperated with the church’s service staff, held the cards which show seat number, and in turn entered the main hall. They followed social distancing regulations, not shaking hands or talking with each other.
The pastoral staff and service staff toiled at the work. They came to the church shortly after six o'clock in the morning, and they took their positions according to their assigned duties.
It was the first Sunday service gathering after the church was reopened. The sanctuary on the first floor of the main hall was almost filled with worshippers.
Based on Genesis chapter 12, Pastor Liu Kunzhong from Dalian Lily Church gave the sermon. He said that we must accurately predict the environment, think of ourselves, and then look to God as we make decisions. With God’s help, we will lack nothing.
After the sermon, under the direction of Pastor Liu Kunzhong, five brothers and sisters went to the stage to listen to God's Word, accepted God's call, and became Christians.
After the service, the church staff began to disinfect the stage, seats, and corridors. Later the service workers began to clear up the main sanctuary.
On the same day, Dalian Jinzhou Church and Quanshui Church also resumed their gatherings. In the next Sunday worship service, churches in districts such as Dalian Xishan Gospel Church, Lily Church, and other churches in county-level cities will also be reopened.
