On April 19, Wafangdian Church of Liaoning Province held an evening prayer in Taize style with the theme of "Go Together with Lord" in the Lingxia Church.
Along with gentle music, pastors, led by Zheng Guangyi, the Senior Pastor, went slowly towards the altar. Rev. Zhu Liyan who officiated the prayer service read Isiah, 53:4.
Zheng then announced Bible verses about the Lord's forgiveness and the congregation responded. Pastors read God's word so touchingly that everyone in the church could feel the hardness that Jesus had to suffer.
It came to the climax when they contemplated the Sayings of Jesus on the Cross. The congregation led by pastors burst into tears when they, inspired by the Holy Spirit, prayed and meditated on the salvation of Jesus.
The Humble Choir sang a hymn after prayer and meditation as they usually did. They performed alternate harmony and male-chorusing and female-chorusing.
Then Zheng went toward the golden candelabrum and lightened a candle in his hand and the first candle on the candelabrum. Pastors went in line to the altar and took candles from Zheng and lightened up other candles on the candelabrum.
