The first church music leadership training course in Pingnan County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, was launched at a local church.
Over 60 key members from many church choirs in the county participated in the training course hosted by Pingnan County CC&TSPM at Chengdong Church from August 8 to 10, said the county CC&TSPM.
Rev. Wei Zhongxin, president of the county Christian Council, introduced that to address the shortage of music talent in grassroots churches, they invited local music instructors, hoping that the participants would master the vocal technique and artistry and contribute to the development of the local sacred music ministry.
Following this, Rev. Xiang Zhirong, chairman of the county TSPM, gave a sermon titled “The Most Beautiful Music Is Sacred Music,” reminding attendees to use the sacred music to better glorify God as it is a beautiful gift from God.
The training course covered diverse aspects, including music theory, vocal techniques, choral conducting, and piano performance, aiming to enhance the musical skills and worship-leading skills of choir members.
On the final day, during the graduation performance, the vocal, conducting, and piano accompaniment classes each showcased training results.
