A centurial church in China’s eastern-coastal Jiangsu Province hosted the fifth memorial service for a church leader.
In the service held on July 16 for Rev. Wang Miquan, president of Changzhou Christian Council and pastor of Changzhou Church, Rev. Liang Huaping, preached a sermon titled "Suffering with Christ", said the church.
After three pastors and two deacons cherished the memories of Rev. Wang, attendees reviewed Wang's life in a short video.
In his speech, Li Jiangyue, chairman of Changzhou TSPM, stated that Wang was strict with herself and lived a simple life to be able to train a group of young and middle-aged pastoral staff for the church but didn’t care about personal gains or losses.
Five days later, together with the pastoral staff of the church, Li laid flowers on the tombstone of Rev. Wang in the church cemetery of the Heshan Mountain, Jiaoxi Industrial District, memorializing the ancestors of the church.
