Joining hands with a local farm, a team of 35 staff from a Guangdong church visited special children prior to the Holy Week.

Guangxiao Church in Guangzhou encouraged its believers to participate in online gatherings to contemplate the suffering and death of Christ, urging them to follow the spirit of Christ to love others.

The church’s pastoral staff and volunteers went to Guangzhou Huiling Farm last Sunday to visit people with intellectual disabilities scattered around all corners of the society.

In the charity activity titled, Warm Love in Holy Week, Walking with Affection, the church donated travel bags, umbrellas, drinking bottles, and health tea to the farm. They also purchased agricultural and sideline products from the farm, hoping this meager donation could bring warmth to these children and youth with special needs.

Established in April 2008, Huiling Farm is a social enterprise affiliated with Huiling Home for Persons with Mental Disabilities in Guangdong. Covering an area of about 2.3 hectares, the farm includes areas for vegetable and fruit planting, breeding, catering, accommodation, and entertainment.

It was the first to introduce "farm therapy" to provide services for people with mental disabilities, allowing them to regain physical and mental health.
