A cross atop a church in China’s eastern Jiangxi province was removed by local authorities on Sunday.
A source said a cross in Xinfeng County, Ganzhou was forcibly demolished by a man who used a saw to cut the stone beneath the cross.
Since 2014, the cross removal campaign has been ongoing in the province.
On May 7, 2020, a state-registered church located in Shangrao had its cross removed.
The campaign in Anhui Province also started in early January, suddenly ended due to the COVID-19 crisis, but resumed in early March.
