Four churches in Foshan, China’s Guangdong Province, began to cancel online services on Wednesday after reopening.
On July 12, Liyusha Church and Shiwan Church in Chancheng District resumed Sunday services. Seven days later, Shengping Church and Jinsha Church followed.
The suspension of online gatherings is supposed to encourage believers to attend in-person services.
Christians with mobility problems who cannot attend services can listen to the services on recorded audio files.
The churches remind their congregations to make reservations in advance so they can enter the church building efficiently.
