On Jan 15, 2017, Lai-en Church of Foshan, Guangdong, provides financial assistance to 15 economically disadvantaged families, supported by the local department of ethnic & religious affairs and residential committee. Each of the families receive 5 kilos rice, 2.5 kilos oil and 200 yuan.
Originally named Lianhua Church, the church was donated by the Chinese believers of the Assemblies of God and constructed in 1923 as the first church in the city. It has been recognized as the church that being preserved the most completely, which also is still in use in Foshan.
