This week, Heilongjiang Theological Seminary enters its featured "Bible Week" after holding the opening ceremony on August 19.
According to the seminary, all the students are categorized into 26 Bible groups in which the whole Bible will be read through. The daily reading time is 11 hours and 40 minutes divided into four periods. In particular, the deaf students use sign language to "read out" the Bible.
During the week, a chaplain leads teachers to take turns to be on duty and offer a hand to students encountering problems.
Founded in 1996, the seminary now has a campus at Mount of Olives. Also, it is the only seminary in China that accepts and trains deaf students to become pastors for deaf communities.
