On April 8, 2018, Beijing Nankou Church took over a private prayer room affiliated with a nursing home located in Changping District.
Rev. Wang Xuan led a communion service and gave a sermon titled Hold Fast to Pursuit and Hope.
The former Nankou church was built by two female missionaries from the Assemblies of God in 1938. Afterward, local Christians oversaw it. During the Cultural Revolution, the facility was demolished and seven houses were reconstructed on the former site. After the policy of religious freedom in October 1987, the church estate was returned to the church and there were over 60 believers at that time. Now the congregation has more than 5,000. Costing about 23 million yuan, offered by the local government, a new church was completed in 2014. Currently, the pastoral staff consists of three pastors, one curate, and three preachers. It has 14 subordinate fellowships among which seven are registered.
