The Nankou Church in Beijing held a Master of Ceremonies Personnel Training (emcee)event on April 22, 2017, with 120 attendees taking part from all over the district.
The first part of the training, which talked about rules and notes, was led by Pastor Chen Wuwei. All the attendees learned that qualified emcees must endeavour to have a pure faith, be familiar with the Bible, become articulate, be an accurate singer, be well-prepared, observant, learn to stick to the themes, give blessings, pray silently, and more.
Pastor Wang Xuan used the second portion of the training to lead everyone through the main points of the previous year's training, which came from Exodus 19 and 24, Isaiah 6, and Revelations 4 to 5, to discuss the importance of worship ceremonies. Attendees also learned that the etiquette of worship, based on the principles and requirements of the Bible, is to lead the congregation to respect and honor God.
Pastor Wang also taught the attendees that emcees should treat the holy ministry with respect in the way they prepare themselves, including in their physical and spiritual cleansing, appearance, and the tone in which they read the Bible during ceremonies. Wang especially stressed the importance of reading the Bible carefully because "until Heaven and Earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of one letter, will pass from the Word of God." For this reason, the Bible should be read accurately and solemnly in order to pass the Word of God to the congregation.
