Surrounded by the greenery and built on top of a hill, the Jingtai Mountain Church covers an area of 40 mu (equals 26,667 square meters) with a construction area of more than 3,000 square meters.
According to Qingdao Church, the staircase hall in the six-story church building can hold 1500 to 1800 people to worship.
The entire church took three years to complete the church, the construction was handled by a local company. It opened for service on December 25, 2007.
The main investor is a devout Christian who dedicated a local church for God after finishing his overseas studies.
The church adopted a medieval European Gothic style with the red tower in the middle for the designs of the church. The walls on the sides of the middle door are covered with cyan granite along with the main wall painted in yolk yellow.
There are also offices, meeting rooms, a dormitory for church staff, a catechumen devotional class and a canteen inside the church.
