On Oct. 7, Shandong CCC&TSPM held the Compling meeting of "The History of Christianity in Shandong". According to Shandong CCC&TSPM official website, Rev. Gao Ming, president and chairperson of Shandong CCC&TSPM, said that Shandong CCC&TSPM Chronical Committee had gathered over 500,000 words of history of Shandong churches and he asked the Committee to collect and save the history , esp. have oral history interviews with the elderly men in churches and save the video and audio data and show the research results every phase.
According to the Gospel Times, churches in Henan and Fujian are promoting the compilation of the history of the local churches.
History makes men wise. By regarding the history as a mirror, we can know what is going up and what is drowning. China is a country which values making history books, while the history of Christianity in China is not complete. In recent years, churches in China have seen the importance of histroy and among them includes Shandong churches.
