In celebration of the annual Double Ninth Festival, the Gospel Times editorial team gathered to reflect on their experiences visiting churches across various regions in recent years. They discussed effective practices that churches have implemented to care for and lead their elderly believers, helping them bear fruit even in old age and “stay fresh and green.”

A church in Guangdong’s capital city held a special Sunday service paying tribute to the aged members of the church.

The theme study on "How to Age Gracefully" offered by the church is specifically for elderly volunteers aged 70 and above who still have the energy to serve. It aims to break them out of traditional lifestyle patterns and lead them to live a healthy, quality life centered around God's service.

Nowadays, instead of youth ministry or other ministries, some churches are beginning to turn their focus to elderly ministry.

In a church in eastern China, the elderly members who join ministries outnumber the younger generation. It claims, "If the church can systematically plan senior believers' training programs, it will continuously attract human resources in ministries unprecedentedly. With such fresh human resources, the church can expand old ministries and develop new ones."

There is a “university" named after Caleb in the church on Fengshou Lu in Dalian City, China's northeastern Liaoning Province.
