A foundation stone laying ceremony was conducted by a church in Shandong Province.
A total of 19 pastors or elders from Shandong CC&TSPM and Ji’nan CC&TSPM were engaged in the groundbreaking ceremony for Nanmen Church in Pingyin County, Ji’nan City, on September 27, said the municipal CC&TSPM.
Before the ceremony, a service of gratitude was hosted by Rev. Guo Hairong, director of the county TSPM, with prayers from Elder Liang Chuan, vice president and general secretary of the municipal Christian Council.
Rev. Wu Jianyin, advisor to the Shandong Christian Council, was invited to deliver a sermon titled "Cleansing the Temple," sharing the importance of cleansing the temple. He encouraged each believer to take action to build God’s temple and hoped that the church could glorify God and benefit people adhering to the sinicization policy and the "three-self" course of self-preaching, self-governing, and self-supporting.
Local officials also gave guidance to the ceremony and follow-up construction.
More than 200 pastors, staff workers, and believers from diverse districts of Ji’nan, including Shizhong District, Tianqiao District, and Changqing District, attended the ceremony.
