On September 8, 2020, Christian celebrity Will Liu said that he joined in a charitable activity for children.
The Loving Care Project launched a campaign that collects funds to buy lunches for children in poor areas.
He posted on Weibo, China’s Twitter, “Nine yuan can be used for 34 different activities and be worth a hot lunch of milk and eggs for three children in poor areas.”
The campaign named “Shanxingzhe”(good at hiking) is a large fundraising activity done through outdoor hiking. Launched in 2014, it has programs in Beijing, Chengdu, Nanjing, and Guangzhou.
It encourages a group of four to accept the challenge of a hiking trip of 50 or 100 kilometers within a set time in order to take action for poor children.
