As Christians, feeling grief is normal because we are human. Even though we have different coping mechanisms, each of us must remember that it's not the end of the world for us.
A few days ago, I received this message from a very close friend saying that she had lost her cat so suddenly that I was so shocked too!
The cat was healthy but one morning, he was gone. My friend is also battling with stress from exams to get into a university, plus massive school works, and now the death of her cat.
I cried when she attended church and hugged me tight not saying a word, but after the service, I gave her this verse from Revelation 21:4
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
We may experience failures and grief in this world, but we must always remember that no matter how hard it is, Jesus sees our tears, and He will hear us when we call.
Jeremiah 33:3 also says "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
In this world, we may encounter various trials that can shake our faith in God, but never lose sight on what God wants us to understand.
Things happen because Jesus has a plan for everything, and grief is normal. It's okay to cry but always remember that we are crying not because we feel defeated, but because we feel sad and weak, but God is strong when we are weak and bigger when we feel small.
So smile, because Jesus loves you.
