The Bible recorded what God's angel said to Daniel: "Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed. Peace! Be strong now; be strong. (Daniel 10:19)" So Daniel was strengthened and said, "Speak, my Lord, since you have given me strength."
After following Christ, Christians still face various kinds of problems in daily life, so where does strength come from?
It does not originate from ourselves because our own strength will dry up one day; neither is it from other people because theirs will never be ours; the strength of God, the unchanging one, never drains away when one depends on Him. When a person turns his eyes on God and relies upon Him, he remains still and calm despite the dangerous situation ahead.
The Scripture claims, "For the word of God is alive and active. (Hebrew 4:12)" The Word strengthens us in sufferings, distress, and difficulties. When adverse circumstances arise, depend on God's word to go beyond the situation and ourselves and gain the rock-like strength to walk on the water.
Read the following Bible passages to help you receive heavenly power.
Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Romans 5:3-5 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
2 Corinthians 12:10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:24-25 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Psalm 121:6-8
The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm-
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
