Some say that doing one thing over and over for a long time makes a man tired. This also applies to our Christian faith. A large portion of Christians are passionate and fervent in ministries in the beginning, while they may encounter a weary period when they gradually don't want to serve but take a rest.
Of course, the period of exhaustion is not bad. Sometimes the coming of the period means that we have gone to a stage for a breakthrough. A new faith journey will begin as long as we overcome the point.
Then how should we break through? It's hard to depend on ourselves, but we should seek the power from God.
Below are ten Bible verses that help us go through a weary period to be fervent again:
Psalm 43:5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
Romans 12:12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
1 John 2:16 For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-comes not from the Father but from the world.
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Psalm 42:5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
Proverbs 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
