In a Christian family, the main goal of a mother is to help her husband raise their children to be God-fearing and to obey the gospel of Christ. Our Father in heaven specially created a family so the children would be cared for, loved, and taught properly with Christian ways by their parents.
Proverbs 22: 6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
It's not easy to be a Christian mother, we have an accountability to our Father if we failed to nurture our children seek God more. A tension of being a motherhood is alway present, but the scripture tells us how to be a real Christian mother. Our Father assumes that a Christian mother has two particular characteristics.
Proverbs 1:8-9 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
In order for the children to trust his mother's wisdom, a mother must be wise, a mother needs to follow God, and rely on Gods promises in
2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
A Christian mother should keep in mind Ephesians 6:4
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Discipline and training are greatly undermined when they are given without respect or affection. Add the two together, and you get
Ephesians 4:15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
Remember Hannah, she reminds us that our children really belong to the Lord, they are with us for just a brief time. I'm sure Hannah cherished every minute she had with Samuel, yet she knew from the very beginning whose he really was.
Clearly, being a Christian mother is not an easy task. It is the mother's responsibility to introduce God to their child and teach them their wisdom so they would seek to know Him more.
Being a mother is one of the most important jobs that God gives to any woman. We should teach our children to spend with our Father every day.Christianity isn't for just once a week; Christianity is for Every Day". Christians mean a follower of Christ. We believe that God the Father sent His son Jesus as our savior was crucified, dead, buried and resurrected three days later to pay our sin debt. When we say we love Jesus we should desire to spend time with Him every day.Remember, they're watching us, Let your daughter sees in you what a godly wife and mom looks like because one day Our Father might bless them a Husband. Let your son learn from your behavior what they should be looking for a wife. One of these days your children will be grown and the way you raised them, the way you raise them will have a great impact on how they relate to their soon family. As much as possible be friends with your children's friends.
As a Christian mother, bring your children in church, let them involve a ministry to make them grow more as a Christian believer.
