On Jan 18, 2017, the premiere of an inspirational film titled "G-force" starring the Christian singer G.E.M. was held in Hong Kong.
This Tuesday the singer-songwriter shared on her microblog, "My company @Hummingbird Music and I decide to donate all the earnings of the tomorrow's box office to 'Principal Chan Free Tutorial World' as the gratitude to this land that breeds me. We hope to help more people soar to great heights! A few days ago I tried to be a guest music teacher, playing the piano and singing songs with children~"
The biographical documentary recording her growth was released on Jan. 7, which strikes a chord in the heart of the post-1990 generation. Her first film tells to face your heart regardless of difficulties ahead and to forward against headwinds.
Renowned as "China's Taylor Swift", the singer is famous for her performance in the TV show I Am A Singer, while it is rarely recognized that she had been the top-selling female singer in Hong Kong before the contest and recorded as the youngest songstress who has held a concert in Hong Kong Coliseum.
The film presents the controversies since the starting of her music career and her unknown growth experience. Talking about the controversial part in the film, the young superstar says, "In the beginning of facing criticism in the past, I felt sad for the truth of many issues were uncovered and could not be explained. I have changed after experiencing such long-time growth. The sun can only shine one side of the earth, so the remaining side with blackness is nothing."
Besides, she laughs at her poor acting skill and adds that the film adopts recording scenes because she wants the audiences to see her true self.
