"God gives me this talent so that he will definitely let it bloom. I never thought it is after my forty, but after seventy. " The Christian singer Huang Qishan, who was famous of attending the hot TV program I Am a Singer, expressed her feeling. A few days later she will hold her first solo concert in Beijing.
As the day draws near Nov. 7 when the concert will be held , the concert "equipments" begin to expose: an audio system worth more than 1.7 million yuan, a team including the sounder designer of the opera Turandot, the string director of "I Am a Singer", a famous musician from Montreal, the top Japanese bass player Yukiko Shibutani ...."I hope I can do something different from other concerts." says Huang.
"Music and emotions have been the main lines throughout my life". When Huang Qishan was three years old she began singing Chinese opera following her grandfather. She has never attended a day of conservatory, nor has she ever worked with a vocal instructor. As her understanding grew, Huang began to realize that this ability was not of herself, but part of God's sovereign guidance.
For twenty-seven years Huang Qishan's singing has been filled with passionate emotion; she says that this inspiration comes from God: "I am moved by it, and that is why you are also moved by it." From her perspective, those who engage in the arts are guided with help from above.
Being 47, Huang will holds her first solo concert at this age, she says, "My instincts told me I would bloom at a time. So I'm grateful that I can encounter you at this time. "
