Yuan Li, who has been famous for her characters in TV shows, has stepped into public welfare. This year, she is a volunteer for Love Save Pneumoconiosis and draws public attention to caring for the Pneumoconiosis patients, by TV program. In September, she shared the life condition of the Pneumoconiosis patients with the Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd when she was having breakfast with him. The female actress Yuan Li said that being a Love Save Pneumoconiosis Volunteer is the choice of fate and the will of God.
During the Interview of People Magazine in late September, Yuan shared the reason why devoting in the public welfare. She did a series research on Pneumoconiosis patients in Qin ling Mountain with a group of Love Save Pneumoconiosis volunteers. Before doing so, she had no idea about pneumoconiosis. What astonished most is the reality Pneumoconiosis patients have to face. According to the statistics provided by the Love Save Pneumoconiosis volunteers, there are 1000 Pneumoconiosis patients in Xiangyang Village, Zhenan County, most of which are incapacity. The patients fell desperate. Yuan is deeply touched by the patients' life and she voluntary became a Love Save Pneumoconiosis volunteer. She believed that it's the chosen of the fate and the will of God. She felt God has arranged her connection with the patients.
This August, during an interview with Focus People, Yuan talked about the real condition of the Pneumoconiosis patients instead of her own story. She said that the celebrities shouldn't lower their heads, only to care making money. They should help those who are in need. On September 14th, 2014, Yuan posted a message to share the transition of her belief on her Weibo. "It seems have been 1000 years since my last show. Many people are curious about what I've been doing since I left the stage. I've lived in San Francisco, New York, Denver, Toronto, Calgary, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, learning about language, reading books about Chinese history in the library and learning about religions. What's more, I experienced God. My friend said I've changed. Yes, I do. Being close to the Lord, is the beginning of wisdom.
In September 15th, she said "17 years ago, I was that arrogant person who step on the Bible, but the Holy Father spent 17 years with His patience waiting for me to regret and turn over me" I think 17 years is a good testimony. I think it's time for me to get the baptism.
