Guangdong CC&TSPM ordained two pastors and an elder in Zhanjiang and Yunfu cities, thereby strengthening the local pastoral team.
On October 28, the Guangdong CC&TSPM held an ordination ceremony at Chengdong Church in Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City, where church staff member Chen Wenjie (female) was ordained as a pastor and Lin Zhaosen as an elder, with 120 attendees including leaders from the provincial and municipal CC&TSPMs, as well as pastoral staff and congregants from the city, said the host.
During the ceremony, Rev. Lin Enling, secretary general and general secretary of the Guangdong Provincial CC&TSPM, delivered a sermon titled "Be Good Shepherds at the Will of God," based on 1 Peter 5:1-4. He emphasized that the Lord's servants should possess a willingness to endure suffering, shepherd the congregation according to God's will, serve God willingly, and serve as role models for believers. Rev. Lei Yuming, executive vice president of the Guangdong Provincial CC, encouraged the newly ordained to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, be faithful stewards, love both the country and the church, and glorify God while benefiting society.
The newly ordained pastor, Chen Wenjie, expressed her gratitude to the Lord and the church for their guidance and support. She committed to serving God diligently and faithfully, striving to become a good shepherd at God's will, and contributing her efforts to promote the sinicization of Christianity and the development of the local church.
The following day, October 29, the Guangdong CC&TSPM ordained Li Cunkuan as a pastor at Xincheng Church in Xinxing County, Yunfu City.
During the ordination, Rev. Lin highlighted the significance of this sacred duty, urging the newly ordained and attending clergy to dedicate themselves fully and faithfully to pastor the followers of God's family. Rev. Lei encouraged the new pastor to be dedicated to Christ Jesus, follow the Lord's call, and strive to fulfill the preaching responsibilities.
