A delegation from the Outreach Foundation in the U.S. visited Zhejiang Theological Seminary to foster the ongoing friendship between churches in both countries.

On October 15, a 14-member delegation visited Zhejiang Theological Seminary, received by leaders from the provincial CC&TSPM, seminary officials, and representatives of the faculty and students. The visit included in-depth exchanges.

Rev. Pan Xingwang, chairperson of Zhejiang Provincial TSPM and president of the seminary, provided an overview of the seminary's history, current status, educational model, and policies, with an address on the seminary's recent efforts in promoting the sinicization of Christianity and sharing some of the challenges currently facing theological education.

Rev. Dr. Mark Mueller, executive director of the Outreach Foundation, and Rev. Dr. Thomas Boone, associate director for mission of the organization, introduced the visiting delegation. Some members had visited China multiple times, while others had longstanding ties to Chinese churches, dating back to their fathers. One member's mother had even been an English teacher at Zhejiang Theological Seminary as part of the Amity Foundation’s English education project. They also outlined the purpose, goals, and service projects of the foundation.

Following the meeting, the delegation toured various parts of the seminary, including the library, educational facilities, the sinicization of Christianity research and practice base, the choir rehearsal room, and the cafeteria.
