A training program was completed in Changchun, Jilin, for key pastoral staff from the northeast region of China.

The training course took place from June 27 to 30, according to CCC&TSPM.

Lectures were given on five topics, including studying the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, developing Christianity in the Chinese context, church regulations, church management, and resisting heresy.

Rev. Wu Wei, president of the Chinese Christian Council (CCC), delivered a speech titled "Promoting Sinicization of Christianity, Striving to Run Chinese Churches Well," where he expounded on the connotation, goals, principles, and tasks of the localization of Christianity.

Rev. Kan Baoping, residential vice chairman of the National Committee of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM), explained the "Regulations of the Chinese Church," laying a solid foundation for the full and strict governance of churches.

Rev. Shan Weixiang, vice president and secretary-general of CCC, delivered presentations on "A Brief Discussion on Chinese-style Church Management" and "Managing Church Conflicts in the Chinese Context." He pointed out that exploring and promoting sinicized church management was an essential part of the localization of Christianity, and it should conform to the Bible and suit the local context.

Ms. Gu Mengfei, secretary general of TSPM, gave a talk titled "Upholding the True Doctrine and Resisting Heresy" by citing relevant examples from around the world. He explained the dangers of heresy, the differences between heresy and orthodoxy, the manifestations of heresy, and how cults distort and exploit Christianity.

Group discussions were arranged during the conference when pastoral workers in attendance engaged in in-depth exchanges regarding the training content, sharing their experiences, and putting forward suggestions.
