CCC&TSPM carries out a one-year anti-drug and AIDS prevention project in Baoshan City in China’s southwestern Yunnan Province.
Joined with Yunnan CC&TSPM and Rock Social Service Committee affiliated with Baoshan Christian Council, they hosted activities of publicity, training, and testing, reported the Social Service Department of CCC&TSPM.
The national organization which runs state-approved Protestant churches launched two-day training for anti-drug and AIDS, attended by 300 people in Baoshan Gospel Drug Rehabilitation Center, Longling Christian Training Center, Longyang District Christian Training Center, Baoshan Bible School, churches in Baoshan City, Yangliu Township, Lujiang Town, and Mangkuan Township.
Cooperated with Baoshan Disease Control and Prevention Center, CCC&TSPM held AIDS awareness and carried out testing for 500 people.
In some streets, churches in urban areas, Lujiang Town or Mangkuan Township in Longyang District, promotional activities were hosted on June 26 as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and will be conducted on World AIDS Day falling on December 1, with a total of 2,000 people expected to participate.
On June 26 this year, the 35th International Anti-Drug Day, Rock Social Service Committee distributed 210,000 copies of more than 20 kinds of propaganda materials benefiting more than 1,500 people at the gate of the farmers' market in Hanzhuang Town, with songs and dances being presented to publicize the knowledge of anti-drug and AIDS prevention.
