Christians in Inner Mongolia gave donations amid a recent virus cluster.
On November 27, the border city of Manzhouli in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, reported three locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases during a nucleic acid test. In just two weeks, there were more than 500 confirmed cases, and more than 13,000 close contacts and secondary contacts. Except for the vehicles that transported pandemic prevention materials and daily necessities, all activities were suspended, such as in factories, schools, shops, and so on.
The Hulunbuir Municipal CC&TSPM issued an initiative, calling pastoral co-workers and believers to donate to the affected areas. More than 160,000 yuan was raised from 34 churches and gathering places in the city, according to Inner Mongolia CC&TSPM.
This fund was to be used for the current round of pandemic prevention and control in the region through the Red Cross Society of Hulunbuir.
