Five churches in Jiangsu, Fujian, Zhejiang Province released their plans for Christmas activities.
Recently, Shishan Church in Suzhou and Jinsha Church in Nantong, Jiangsu, stated they would hold services and celebrations on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with a restricted number of attendees.
While on December 22, Wuxi Church in Jiangsu announced that worship services would be hosted virtually at Christmas without any in-person celebrations, as it still suspended onsite gatherings due to COVID-19, according to the church.
On the same day, Chendai Church in Jinjiang, Fujian, released a schedule on its official WeChat account, saying that a Christmas gospel rally, a Sunday service, and a praise meeting would all be conducted on December 25 and 26.
The next day, Chongyi Church in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, announced its resumption of in-person gatherings due to the de-escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the number of worshippers limited to no more than 500. Believers are required to book their place in advance via WeChat. The church claimed it would celebrate Christmas between December 24-26.
