Shaanxi CC&TSPM held a four-day training class for pastors to improve their comprehensive quality.
During the training held from November 29 to December 2 in Xi’an City, seven courses were conducted, including "Interpretation of Religious Policies and Regulations in the New Era", "A Brief Discussion on Relevant Systems for the Legal Management of Religious Affairs", "Quality and Style of Pastoral Staff", "Sinicization of Christianity", "Fire Safety Work in Religious Venues", "How to Identify Heresy", and "Interpretation and Preaching", according to Shaanxi CC&TSPM.
On the evening of December 1, two exams were held, including "Comprehensive Christian Knowledge" and "Religious Policies and Regulations", attended by 129 pastors from Shangluo City, Yan'an City, and Yangling Demonstration Zone, where there are no municipal (district) CC&TSPMs.
Meanwhile, another training class for church council members and deacons began in Guangdong on December 4.
In Dongshan Church, Guangzhou, following the guidelines of COVID-19, attendees were divided into two classes by age groups, according to Guangzhou CC&TSPM. Dr. Yu Liang, a full-time teacher from Guangdong Union Theological Seminary, delivered a lecture on "Systematic Theology", followed by two lectures on the study of "The Book of Second Timothy" and "The Shaping of Spiritual Life" given by two pastors from Guangzhou CC.
More than 260 people from all churches in the city participated in the training program, with the next training session to take place on December 11.
