In Shaanxi Province, Baoji Fulinbao Church celebrates Christmas on December 24.
In the country-style church, two sisters in charge of reception took the temperature of the attendees who entered the sanctuary following other COVID-19 protocols. The hall originally could admit more than 300 people, but due to the virus, the number could not exceed 120.
In the morning, the choir sang the carols, Away in a Manger and Celebrations around the World.
Next, based on Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6, Sister Yang Shuixia gave a sermon on the theme of He will be Called Wonderful Counselor, and shared about Jesus’ wonderful birth, death, and resurrection. She briefly described the process of Jesus' birth, death, and resurrection, explaining that Jesus Christ saved sinners through the cross. She also said that the Lord was born in the cold manger so today we sinners would no longer be lost, and would rise with the Lord and have a new spiritual life.
In the afternoon, a sacred music worship service was held. More than a dozen theatrical programs were performed including a sketch comedy, dances, choruses, solo men and women musical pieces, as well as a program played in an allegro tempo.
In the evening, a Christmas Eve candlelight worship service was also hosted in the church.
