Since the resumption of gatherings on June 14 after months' lockdown due to COVID-19, Anzhen Church in Wuxi, China's eastern-central coastal Jiangsu Province, carried out a number of ministries.
Them ministries include pastoral counseling and marriage counseling. The staff convened fellowship meetings to promote the development of ministries.
Due to the short interval between two worship services in the morning, it is impossible to offer spiritual counseling and prayer to believers in need, so pastoral counseling opens during the day.
The church specially offers marriage counseling courses. On the evening of July 17, Pastor Deng shared the first lecture of this series in the youth fellowship gathering, and nearly one hundred believers participated in the study.
On the afternoon of July 26, the fishermen fellowship held an exchange and mobilization meeting before the start of the pre-baptism class, and more than 20 persons attended. Pastor Deng, the senior pastor of the church presided over the meeting. He first learned about the evangelism and recruitment of each group since the end of last year’s training, and then made the arrangement and division of labor according to the reporting situation and the current problems and difficulties in the fishermen fellowship.
The pre-baptism classes began on Sunday, August 2 with lessons every Sunday afternoon and a final exam on the afternoon of August 30.
