July is the graduation season for some colleges. On July 6, 2020, Shaanxi Bible School issued a letter to express its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the graduates.
The college exhorts every graduate with the verse from Matthew 28: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The college encouraged the graduates by sharing that change in life is normal, and we should often pray to the Lord to guide us as the light, guard us as the shield, give us the power to overcome tests, endow us with the ability to be qualified for the ministry, and preserve us to work seriously, not for a reward from anyone but for the will of the Lord, which we take as a source of joy.
Further, the college said, “the graduates will be doing the work of evangelists in the Church of the Lord, continuing the great mission that the apostles received from the Lord Jesus. What a meaningful and great job it is! No matter where we are scattered, we still belong to one big family, because in Christ we are a spiritual community of fellowship and sharing. May no distance sever us from one another, and may we grow closer in the Lord's love through intercession for one another."
Finally, to the graduating class, may the Lord keep you "always faithful" in his presence and become a good witness to him in the place you serve, the school said.
Here the Fellowship Prayer, which is attached to the last page of the Collection of Hongdao is shared with you:
O loving Lord,
You are not far from any of your children;
May the Lord care for each one of us in this family,
And the fellow evangelist in the church,
And those who have lived with us here.
We are remembering it now,
And pray to the Lord to be a light in their path,
Dwell in their hearts,
And guard them at all times.
Make sure that they are always faithful before you;
Give them strength to overcome temptation;
Enable them to be qualified for what you have assigned them;
Guard them from neglect of duty,
And take pleasure in doing your will;
May no distance sever them from us and from you,
But bring us closer in your love.
Our father, we have set before you our regard for them.
We are satisfied with knowing that you can accomplish far more for them than we could have wished or thought.
We pray through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
