After the Sunday service held on July 7, 2019, Hebei Church in Dashitou Town, Dunhua City, Jilin Province, conducted the "Social Service Open Day" event.
It offered a free clinic to 636 people. Two medical clinics were set up in the church's two side halls.
Pastor Chai Yanxia said that the church owned 27 rural gathering points, most of which are in remote and inconveniently located areas that have poor medical conditions. In recent years, many young and middle-aged migrant people have moved to cities to make a living, leaving the elderly and some lonely people behind. Most of them were sick and their self-care ability was relatively poor. Thus the church wanted to help them in various ways.
More than 200 free lunch meals were also provided. A brother was moved to get barber's scissors and gave haircuts to 44 people raging from 5 to 80 years of age.
