On May 1, 2019, 17 people from the Guangming Protestant Church in Dunhua City, Jilin Province, went to visit lonely seniors in the "Golden Dragon Spring Care Home" in Xiaozhan Village, Dunhua City.
According to CCC&TSPM, "Golden Dragon Spring Care Home" has 46 lonely seniors. After the pastoral staff arrived at the nursing home, they immediately began to serve, kneading noodles, washing vegetables, and stuffing meat, and soon had wrapped up more than 600 dumplings. After the seniors ate the dumplings, the co-workers accompanied them for conversation, thereby giving them a very happy time.
Since 2004, Guangming Church has established friendly and cooperative relations with several elderly homes in urban areas. It often organizes co-workers to visit lonely seniors, chat with them, and do something for them to make them feel warm and loved.
