On March 25, 2018, Nanjing Mochou Lu Church held services to celebrate the Palm Sunday.
In the Chinese services, the choir walked into the church with palm branches in their hands to mark Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Citing Mark 11:1-11, Rev. Ma Li shared that we should imitate the master of the colt to give our best to the Lord. Jesus' ride on a colt reflected his humbility and his death brought peace to us. The people shouted Hosanna that meant crying for the help and his entry proved that he was the Messiah the Israel had yearned for.
In the English service, palm branches were placed on the ground to welcome the coming Messiah who was the king in a short play. Every participant was given a palm branch and waved the branches to welcome the arrival of the real king.
