Since 2015, Heilongjiang Theological Seminary has launched a campaign to read the entire Bible at the beginning of each semester.
From 2017, students must take a compulsory course of reading through the entire Bible that requires them to read the entire Old Testament during the fall semester and the New Testament two or three times in the spring semester. Students who fail to return to school on time must write out some books of the Bible by hand.
From March 3 to 9, 2018, the students of all majors and grades divided into 31 groups took turns reading through the New Testament two to three times. Although it took them 10 hours to finish the reading each day, they felt joy and God's presence.
Founded in 1996, the seminary now has a campus at Mount of Olives. Also, it is the only seminary in China that accepts and trains deaf students to become pastors for the deaf community.
