On October 15, 2017, a nine-person medical group provided a free clinic at Qingshuipu Church in Zhenhai District, Ningbo, Zhejiang.
Zhenhai District, an economic development area, attracts many migrant workers for employment. Due to their low incomes, migrant workers don't see a doctor when they suffer from ailments. Since the free clinic was a rare chance, they came en mass.
Founded in 2006 by the Ningbo CCC&TSPM, the Ningbo Christian Medical Advisory Team offered treatment covering general practice, internal medicine, surgery, and examinations to over 150 people.
Consisting of pastoral workers from churches of downtown Ningbo and Christian medical workers, the team hosts one or two free clinics every year. It has conducted about 20 free clinics in rural regions including mountainous areas, islands, and distant villages in the past decade.
