Guangyin Church of Chengdu, Sichuan, held a retreat for 71 co-workers in Chengdu from April 30 to May 1, 2017.
Rev. Zhao Gang, the senior pastor, shared the message on why Christians should serve in the church and how they should serve. Citing 1 Peter 2:9, he told the participants their own identity and duties. Through sharing, meditation and discussion, the participants were able to build their own relationships with God even further, knowing that their duties in the church were chosen by God as channels through which God blesses the world. Concerning how to serve, Rev. Zhao preached that we should keep watch and be not negligent with humility, fear and obedience, quoting Matthew 25:1-31.
A hot debate was also held to talk about weaknesses and experiences on how to overcome them in the ministry.
