More than 200 people were baptized into Christ in Qingliu Church of Chuzhou, Anhui on April 16, 2017. The baptism service was presided by Rev. Wu Zhengyin, the said church's senior pastor.
On Nov. 26, 2015, the church was dedicated after a twelve-year construction. The church, consisting of a chapel and a comprehensive building, was completed in Nov 2014 and with an investment of more than 22 million yuan, mostly coming from the donations by the believers.
Xu Shoutang, a co-worker of Qingliu Church, once said that the name "Qingliu Church" was from the mother river "Qingliu " where the new church sits near. The name was also selected to remember an English Missionary, who came here in 1887 and drowned in Qingliu River and to hope it becomes a stream of water, taking in the living water from above and spread blessings to Chuzhou.
