On April 14, 2017, a team from Gideons International paid a visited to Fujian Theological Seminary. The foreign delegation, consisting of Zhao Zhiyong, assistant to the president, and three members of the board of directors, held a talk with the seminary on donating books.
The next day, the team visited Meishan Church of Nanping and presented copies of the Bible to the congregation. After the Bible donation ceremony, the delegation also visited the Sheng'Ai Elderly Home, which was founded by the church, and distributed the Bible to the elders in residence.
Sheng'Ai Elderly Home occupies land area of 2268.46㎡ and has a building area of 4777.58㎡, accommodating 306 beds. It mainly serves to provide daily care services to the elderly. On April 7, 2015, after a trial run of 20 months, the elderly home finally attained its first non-profit operating license and became the main breakthrough for the church's involvement in social work.
