On April 16, 2017, the ten churches in Huanzhou Village, Wuding County, Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan, held a union service to celebrate Easter.
A worker of the local church said that more than 500 believers attended it, 90% of whom were from the Lisu ethnic group. The rest were Han, Yi and Miao people. Eight of the churches presented two hymns each.
The choir of the whole village practiced hymns and the local church held a service to commemorate the passion of Jesus on April 15.
The Gospel has been introduced into the Eastern Lisu church in the county for more than a century ago. Since then, a large percentage of Eastern Liu's people have converted to Christianity from their primitive religion.
