Pastor Pu Wanming led a group of 60 believers from Xile Church in Hefei, Anhui in a love campaign called "2017 Spring Love Trip: Support Rural Church Construction and Care for Lonely Seniors" on April 2, 2017.
They showed their love by supporting the construction of the Huoshui (living water) Church. They also brought money, food, and oil for several seniors who have no family.
Elder Wang Yang, the Director of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement Committee of Huoshan County, Brother Wang Yequan, the person in charge of the Huoshui Church, and brothers and sister from the church all gave the visitors a warm welcome.
Huoshan County is located in Liu'an City, on the northern foot of Dabie Mountain in Anhui Province. The Gospel was first introduced to the county in the 1980s, and there is only one elder in the entire county in the beginning. Huoshui Church is surrounded by mountains and situated in a mountainous village. The church used to be a meeting place, but has been rebuilt. The main building is already complete; but, due to a shortage of funds, the church is still very rough and without decoration inside or out.
Moreover, there are only about 60 congregants recorded since the church is in a mountainous area and access to services is difficult. There are nearly 200 people attendees during Easter and Christmas services.
