The National CCC&TSPM will start a project to supply clean water for both livestock and humans in Baili Zhai (originally Gao Zhai No. 1 squad), Sandu County, Guizhou this March. It will also continue its support of bamboo products in Lalan village.
According to the WeChat account of "Religious Love in Lailou," Pastor Kan Baoping, Deputy President and Secretary-General of the China Christian Council, led fellow workers from their Social Service Dept. to research in Lalan Village, Sanhe Street, Sandu County, on March 21, 2017. They reviewed the progress and determined the requirements of the project.
As the only one Shui Autonomous County, Sandu County was included on the list for targeted poverty alleviation by the National Administration for Religious Affairs in 2015. Almost 100,000 impoverished people mostly live in scattered mountain villages there, many of which don't even have access roads.
